My meeting with a Councillor....

Yesterday I went to meet with Councillor Sean Coughlan, member of Dudley City Council and my local link to Parliament.

Now, I had emailed Mr Coughlan a few weeks ago regarding my campaign and was responded with very supportive phone call and an ivitation to attend his drop in surgery to talk more about it. Yesturday I did just that and it went brilliantly.

The councillor was extremely supportive and instantly related to me on my level. He told me that he had visited the Battlefront website and had read about the campaign. What was even better was the fact that he had seen my feature in the local newspaper and he expressed that he's now more aware about road safety as a wider issue!

I told the Mr Coughlan that im thinking of visiting the family of the boy racer who was tragically killed in my area. He told me that he was good friends with his father and compassionately agreed to make the root of communication easier by talking to the family for me. He also told me that he has links to the regional press and the he will inform them about the story. I was happy to hear him talk about taking the campaign further with the help of MP David Winnick who also avidly supports the campaign. The meeting ended with me thanking him for his time to which he resonponded, 'No, thank you for caring'. The campaign grows stronger...
