My campaign idea is to stop discrimination in the workplace. Whether you are a teenager with a part time job or an adult with a full time career there is often some sort of discrimination experienced by an individual or individuals in the workplace. From explicit verbal abuse to subconscious decision making, discrimination can be evident on a variety of levels and can be seen to be accepted in many working environments. Discrimination can fall under a number of areas including, Ethnic minorities, gender, LGBT, pregnant women, disability and age. Being discriminated is tolerated in a lot of work places due to the informality of it and the fact that it can happen so frequently can lead it to be seen as a norm. The lack of knowledge that some staff have on enforcement policies for discrimination in a working environment can reflect casual attitudes and lack of a clear understanding.
