I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I’m a young person, so I’m already guilty. Politics is paramount. Like the media, it is one of the most powerful entities in the world. It controls us and often manipulates us. It has a direct power over us and is central to all that we do. Despite electoral decline, the expenses scandal creating an illusion of dishonesty and what one may describe Britain as “economically illiterate” -politics is profoundly powerful. Parliament is the voice of the people; I feel my voice is not heard. Negative images in the media create a disillusion surrounding young people like you and me. This has to stop. My campaign is to make young people heard. We want a voice, we want what is right and we want to make this country a better place for young people.
