EVERY child counts, no matter what their disability
James Donovan
Popularity: this is the 13th most popular campaignNSPCC has a unique power called Authorised Person Status (APS) and it means they can take decisions made by social services to court on a childs behalf. BUT If your deaf or disabled the threshold to use this power is higher and can only be used if they are suffering significant harm (thanks to our wonderful government!)
For example a person is being neglected, or not having the care they require, if the person was not disabled the NSPCC could step in, if the person is disabled they can't, even when they are at their most vulnerable.
If a deaf child is being neglected because their parents can't communicate with them, the NSPCC can not step in, neither can social services!!
So join this campaign to show every child counts and should be treated equally, regardless of their disability.
