BATTLEFRONT – PRIVACY POLICY

The battlefront.co.uk website (our “site”) is owned and operated by Raw TV Limited ("Raw TV") and Channel Four Television Corporation (“Channel 4”) and is part of a project known as “BATTLEFRONT” (the “Project”) produced by Raw TV under commission from Channel 4. Raw TV and Channel 4 are collectively referred to as “we” and “us” and “our” in this privacy policy. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We will use any personal information collected from the site in accordance with all laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal data including the Data Protection Act 1998 (the "Act"). Further details on the Data Protection Act can be found on the Information Commissioner's website (www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk). This policy (together with our terms of use http://battlefront.co.uk/terms-and-conditions (the “Terms”) and any other documents referred to on the site) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

• Information that you provide by filling in forms on the site. This includes information provided at the time of registering to participate in the Project (e.g. to run a campaign on the site), posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion and when you report a problem with the site or the Project. • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence. • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them. • Details of your visits to the site and your participation in the Project and the resources that you access. If you are under the age of 18 please get your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide your information to us. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve the site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us: • To estimate our audience size and usage pattern. • To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests. • To speed up your searches. • To recognise you when you return to our site. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet or via mobile networks is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the site; any transmission is at your own risk. USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION

We use information held about you in the following ways: • Where you have signed up to participate in the Project, to administer your participation in the Project. • If you have signed up to participate in the Project, to invite you to participate in further stages of the Project. • To ensure that content from the site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer. • To provide you with information, products or services (such as newsletters) that you request from us or have opted in to receive or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes. • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so. • To notify you about changes to the Project. • As set out on the site and in the Terms. • For marketing purposes where you have expressly agreed to this. • For basic profiling services (whether undertaken by us or third parties acting on our behalf). • To contact you about any content you submit to the Project. • To contact you if you have entered any competitions on the site. Except as set out above (or where we agree otherwise with you e.g. in relation to contacting you for marketing), your personal information will be kept private and confidential, will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent and will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in the Terms (or other relevant terms and conditions).

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Raw TV and Channel 4 may disclose your personal information to any member of their group of companies, which means Raw TV or Channel 4’s subsidiaries and Raw TV’s and Channel 4’s ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 736 of the UK Companies Act 1985. We may disclose your personal information to third parties: • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. • If Raw TV or Channel 4 or substantially all of either Raw TV or Channel 4’s assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about their users will be one of the transferred assets. • If they are processing your personal information on our behalf (we require these third parties to comply strictly with its instructions and we require that they do not use your personal information for their own business purposes, unless you have explicitly consented to the use of your personal information in this way). • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply the Terms and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Raw TV, Channel 4, our other users, or others. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files where this is requested by you.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy may change at any time, so you may wish to check it each time you visit the site. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
