Aakash thought it was outrageous that the current minimum wage discriminates on age.
As a 16-year-old he felt he was being told he was worth less than someone over the age of 21 (£2.23 less to be exact). His campaign was all about employees being treated equally.
To gain support, Aakash took his campaign all over, including to Underage Festival where he spoke to lots of under-18s about the issue as well as winning support from the likes of Ellie Goulding.
His campaign culminated in a Same Job Same Dosh stamp of approval which he awarded to businesses who do already pay a fair and equal minimum wage.
