Kathryn works for Pump Aid, a marvellous charity that campaigns and lobbies to get clean water to the people of Malawi and Zimbabwi. She’s also interested in making life safer for the women of these countries. They’re usually the ones who fetch the water – often walking for hours to get it, alone and through dangerous areas, at great risk of attack.
Kathryn’s really imaginative and likes word-play. She’s called her charity’s World Toilet Day ‘Give a S*it’, and is writing a theme track for the event with a company called Poo Productions. We’re looking forward to her imparting some of this laudable cheek to our campaigners.
This is a tag cloud. It eats words, but only ones about how people want to change the world. You can click on a ‘want’ to agree or disagree. The more people agree with a want, the bigger it gets, until the tag cloud starts to wish it didn’t have eyes bigger than its stomach.
