If you saw a boy in a hoodie waiting. What is your initial thought? A standardized mental picture that is held in common by members of a group and that represents an oversimplified opinion, prejudiced attitude. In a simple version this word is stereotyping. I want to change the stereotypical views surrounding our everyday life. Especially for teenagers. I want to show the public that we are more than what they see on TV. I will do this by producing posters. T shirt designs and making blogs on myspace with statements such as Stop The Stereo Playing or Make a change don't let them think the same. I can't support my campaign on facts and numbers but I can based it on our initial thoughts influenced with the wrong reasons. I want to shine light on the gloomy place negative have put us in.

Look I get what your trying to say, and in some sense I agree with you, but people are always gonna judge, it's how we are, no we can act differently upon our judgements, but we do judge. And I think the real isssue is people representing themselves in the right ways. If we don't wanna be judged badly or stereotyped then we should try our hardest to present ourselves in the best way possible.

I appreciate your comment. I just took the photo to prove that I shouldn't be judged because of the clothes I wear. But the personality and attitude I have. Thanks :)

hello, i don't do stereotypes - i was brought up to love everyone. but aren't you yourself self-stereotyping by wearing hoodies? when i was your age (which, by the way, was only 15 years ago) i hung around in groups but we all showed our faces, so the disapproving faces passing, saw who they were disapproving, that's life i'm afraid - not all people will like you. but groups of kids with their faces hidden scares people. that's just a simple fact... uncover your face and you will stop being stereotyped (justifiably) by the others around you - peace and love xrichx
