Jaskaran Kaur
This is the most popular campaign
Hi my names Jas Kaur and as a young British Asian the campaign I would like to launch is Honour. You may not know what an honour killing is as it is mainly enclosed within the Asian community. An honour killing is basically the murder of a family member, generally female due to her refusing arranged marriage, having premarital sex or for finding the opposite sex attractive. It is a huge problem for young Asians as they do not know that help is available. Some people accept their fate as they are unaware that help is available. My main message to send is dont accept the fate your family are giving you, choose your own and dont suffer in silence.
dis gal kno wha she's on abou n yehh honour killinz n baaaaaaaad n must b prevented.. WOOH!! GO JASS!!!

I support your campaign Jaz as i also believe that it needs to be brought into light rather than be hidden like the asian community tend to do. It is a problem faced by many people and you're absolutly right about people who need to know that there is help available. A campaign like this needs to be supported in order to help so many people out there. Go you :D :D xxxxx

Being part of a typical asian family (i'm bengali - eurghh!),I fully support Jaz' campaign. More awareness needs to be made and help given to those so that asian girls and guyz - u neva no - can be the beautiful person they really are without the fear of being killed. You shouldn't have to forcibly hide your body and arranged marriages are so last season. Yeah it's prolly gna hapen 2 meh datz y im rootin 4 jaz all d way.We shd all b abl 2do waeva we wnt hence d reasn y freewill wz bestowd upon us all.Go4 it love n do us all proud.Mwaahz.Love ya loadz darlin, n gud luk.

Jaz is a very clever and unique girl who is passionate about this campaign. Honour killings are a terrible reality to some asian families and i fully support Jaz in her battle to fight this monstrosity.

This topic needs more attention. ALthough it doesn't affect me personally, i've heard of sooooooooo many honour killing stories, and people really need to know about it. Go on Jas!!!

yo this is a great campaign n i think every young asian today should back it. Arranged marriages and forced marriages are still common today and a common factor for honour killings so as a british asian i fully support this n wish u the best of luck!!

Float your boat? Do you like the cut of Jaskaran Kaur's jib? Then do something about it. Voting, preferably, not a small dance. The 10 campaigns with the most votes end up before the wise and bewigged Battlefront judges, who’ll pick our 20th campaigner.
So get behind the issues that matter most to you. You have until 8 October to cast your votes.
Shiny badges Everyone loves a nice badge. Especially badgers, for whom they are the primary source of income. Those furry little craftsmen have knocked up a particularly natty Battlefront one which you can stick on Bebo, MySpace, Facebook or your own website to show your support.
Just copy and paste the code below into your website – just like embedding a YouTube player – and then anyone who clicks it will be sent to the Battlefront site, and your page will look at least ninety times as snazzy.
VOTE FOR JASS PPL!!!! ITS DA ONLY WAY FORWARD ;)
