Matthew Collins
This is the 21st most popular campaign
I'm so annoyed how teenagers (mainly) and adults are ashmed of being gay! It's not like it's their fault, well, maybe a little bit, but the main problem is the people people around them, and more importantly how the people around them are going to react when they find out. My aim is to educate 'homophobic' people. I want to show them that just because one person is attratced to the same sex rather than the sex they are 'meant to', doesn't mean that they're worth less in anyway. Homosexuality and Bisexuality has, and proabably will always be seen as an issue, but there is no reason why the British public can't try and combat this false pretence that we live under! There is nothing wrong with men, liking men, or woman liking woman, my aim is show that too people who think otherwise.
Go Matthew! Great campaign... schools really need to get together in dealing with homophobia... so that more people can be out and proud. Danniell - please do your research and stay away.

Hi, I'm 20 and gay and having spent the last few years campaigning against homophobic bullying I just wanted to congratulate you on what you're doing. Keep it up!

Personally I dont feel that it is right to be brought up to think that being attracted to the same sex is right. I'm not saying that I hate gay people I am just saying I do not approve of what they do. Personally I think you do have a choice no-one is born gay, its a decision you make.
Danniell Speede, 13 October 2008 18:50
If you can't be proud of who you are then what can you be proud of in life?? Keep up the good work! Dan x

I think u r totaly right about everything u say, i am not gay but i think it is totaly unfair how people treat some people differently just because of there sexuality X X
Amanda, 16 September 2008 12:59
i think thats its true people should not be ashmed that they are attracted the same sex it can not be helped and needs to be talked about more. because half of the time people who hold it in side commit suicide because they are ashmed of there sexuality.

Float your boat? Do you like the cut of Matthew Collins's jib? Then do something about it. Voting, preferably, not a small dance. The 10 campaigns with the most votes end up before the wise and bewigged Battlefront judges, who’ll pick the lucky campaign to appear on the next Battlefront TV series.
So get behind the issues that matter most to you. You have until midday 30 March to cast your votes.
Everyone loves a nice badge. Especially badgers, for whom they are the primary source of income. Those furry little craftsmen have knocked up a particularly natty Battlefront one which you can stick on Bebo, MySpace, Facebook or your own website to show your support.
Just copy and paste the code below into your website – just like embedding a YouTube player – and then anyone who clicks it will be sent to the Battlefront site, and your page will look at least ninety times as snazzy.
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys (:. Danniell Speede- Being attracted to the same sex is perfectly fine. I have yet to find a reason why it is 'bad' or 'wrong'. What we do isn't any different to the average heterosexual relationship apart from the fact that is with someone of the same sex. Sexuality is a choice made by our subconscious, therefore we have little, if any, control over it. There is also a debate about a 'Gay gene', although there aren't many that believe this is real. Even if we did have a choice, I don't see how that effects our rights not to be abused. If anyone has a question, or needs some advice, email me on [email protected] (:. Once again, thanks guys.
