Fur Free Forever

This is the 10th most popular campaign

Ever year over 50 million animals are inhumanely killed for their fur. This needs to stop. One of the main influences into this is our celebrity icons constantly promoting the cruel fashion. The truth is that people are naively ignoring these facts to buy those 'cute' shoes or 'nice' bag to remain within the trend, the scary thing about it is that these 'trends' last weeks or months which is nothing compared to the 18 red foxes or 100 squirrels used to make a coat. What people don't realize is that these defenseless animals are slaughtered by means of pain and torture, such as suffocation or electrocution; all this is in or to preserve the fur for selfish people. As a 21st Century, average trend following student; I want to fight this; however I am only one person; TOGETHER we can ALL make this STOP.

I think it is absolutely disgusting how these poor animals are treated and are 100% supporting for this to be banned forever.

Such an important campaign to support - we need to speak for our four legged companions Go girl! x

Well the fashion industry makes its money from the consumers buying the product, most of these people are unaware whether they are wearing fur products and if so, what actually happens so the animal. I want to raise this awareness to prevent people from buying and then the companies will have no choice but to stop. There are already some celebrities who disagree with fur so i plan to use them as a trigger as well as the many shops, In order to make other celebrities say 'no' i would suggest truthful documentaries on the issue as that would at least give them information about the clothing they wear. Also a logo showing support to anti - fur would be significant enough to help. It involves little cost and could potentially increase sales for those companies as people would go to them for their products instead of others.

Yes, I agree that the fur products trends need shrinking or stopping. But how do you suggest lobbying the fashion industry that makes millions, if not billions of pounds a year, who will happily produce more and more advertising campaigns for their products? And how do you plan to get celebrities to say 'No' to fur?

Save the fur

Looking at this campaign from the point of view of an elder fashion follower, I think it hits the right views to todays society. Rolemodels, especially those to young women need to set an example not a cruel trend.

I think this is a great campaign! People seem to forget about animals with all the wars going on. Its time we took more notice!!
