Its about time that people stopped tip-toeing around issues regarding peoples identity and called a spade a spade. You can hardly give an honest, accurate description of a person nowadays without someone - especially the media or the government - accusing you of some form of discrimination. Whether its by a celeb-reality t.v. show or a politician looking for votes, the definition of discrimination is being distorted and its hindering people from being truthful with one another. We are who we are and our identity shouldn't altered for the sake of people taking offense on behalf of others. I am every aspect of me - every aspect of me is I. So call a spade a spade.
I agree :) Political correctness is rampant in this Country, and to use a cliche a return to honesty would be a beathe of resh air

I read this and was shocked by what I was reading. The views you expressed seem more like that of a aged cranky old man who has nothing better to do than curse the world around him. Yes it is difficult to talk open and frankly about things concerning race but it is people like you who make it worse for everyone. I highly suggest you take a good look at your values and morals before you get yourself into trouble. If you think you should call a spade a spade then you seriously need to have an entire attitude adjustment!

Everyone loves a nice badge. Especially badgers, for whom they are the primary source of income. Those furry little craftsmen have knocked up a particularly natty Battlefront one which you can stick on Bebo, MySpace, Facebook or your own website to show your support.
Just copy and paste the code below into your website – just like embedding a YouTube player – and then anyone who clicks it will be sent to the Battlefront site, and your page will look at least ninety times as snazzy.
Michael, If you want to call a spade a spade doees this mean you want to call Indian people 'Pakis'? Would that be a more 'honest, accurate description' of me? For you to invoke the term 'spade' is ill-advised to say the least, and spectacularly backfires. You don't seem to appreciate that 'spade' is an offensive word towards black people. As someone who I can see from your photos is white, sitting on a yacht, with a union jack in the background, the presentation of your campaign needs to be revisited. I don't think you are a racist, and I think your intentions are possibly very positive, but your campaign comes across as non-inclusive and will only appeal to racists. Somewhere in your campaign idea I think there míght be a kernel of a valid point. I agree that political correctness can act as a straitjacket towards freedom of expression and I also acknowledge that terminology follows fashions (it's OK for us to refer to 'black people' today but maybe that will be considered offensive in a few years). Until your message gets more sophisticated people will continue to in your own words 'accusing you of some form of discrimination'. And you will only have yourself to blame. Apologies if my feedback is brutal. I think your campaign may well have merit, but rethink it, and talk to people you know from ethnic minorities, and re-present it.
