Kaya’s Keeping it Real campaign aimed to promote positive body image and bring back natural beauty.
She wanted to tackle the distorted pictures we see all around us every day and encourage magazines and websites to display her Real Images; Real People logo to show their support for all things naturally beautiful.
Kaya’s campaign was a huge success – she launched her logo to London Fashion Week, where she drummed-up support from countless models, designers and celebs including Jimmy Choo, Amelle from Sugababes, Nicola Roberts, Jamelia, Shayne ward, the editor of Grazia, the GMTV stylist and Brigitte Nielsen. The logo was used in various places, including Channel 4’s beauty website, 4Beauty, for whom Kaya wrote a number of blogs.
At the end of Battlefront 2, Kaya organised a huge flashmob at London’s Westfield Shopping Centre, which was filmed for one of the Battlefront TV shows on T4. Dozens of supporters, and Kaya’s celebrity mentor, Kimberly Wyatt, waved Natural Beauty placards, dressed in nothing but flimsy morphsuits to celebrate their naturally beautiful bits.
