Gangs ruin lives. Eliza’s campaign was dedicated to showing young people they have other options.
She wanted to stop the younger ones before they got caught up in gang life; and give the older ones who have left gangs already something more positive to do with their lives.
Eliza established a Lives Not Knives mentoring scheme in Croydon primary schools which proved massively successful and led to her winning Philip Lawrence and Princess Diana Awards. She has also been in talks with MPs about rolling out the scheme in London. Her campaign attracted thousands of fans, including famous ones such as Professor Green, Boris Johnson and Kidulthood writer Noel Clarke.
At the end of Battlefront 2, with the help of her celebrity mentors, Roll Deep, and unsigned artists from Croydon, Eliza put on a Lives Not Knives gig in London which was filmed for one of the Battlefront TV shows on T4.
