Four weeks training everybody gaining My idea is to take a group of people,16- 25 year olds ,unemployed, people on drug rehabilitation, a group of people on parole or probation, whatever the background. The group must come from one local area they are trained by my dads training company for four weeks and all will get a recognised qualification in Painting and Decorating, plumbing, tiling ETC . In return the group must undertake a local voluntary project for three months, redecorating a run down housing estate, old folks home, Hospice, anything. The young people get a skill for life and three months on site experience. The local project will benefit from three months free labour and contractors will be able to cherry pick the best people to employ by being encouraged to visit the said projects in their local towns.

We would like to invite you and your team to our Campaigns Camp on 7th February. You can sign up here http://www.alldoledup.org/?page_id=18&event_id=11. We want to bring together young people from across London, involve them in our current youth unemployment campaign and give you the skills to start campaigns on issues that affect young people. Do you want to learn creative campaigning techniques and use them to help shape our campaign? Almost one in five young people are out of work. Unemployment affects us all, whether we’re out of work or our friends and family are. That’s why we want to work with you so you can do something about it together. So you can get together with other young people to campaign on youth unemployment where you live or study. Toynbee Hall and Compass Youth want to invite you to an all day training day. So you’ll be able to Use stories young people have shared with us to spread the word about our campaign and get those in power to support and act on our pledges Learn creative campaigning techniques – such as making viral videos, get your message out to the media and designing campaign visuals You’ll be able to try these out on the day itself with other young people and most importantly what you create will be what we use to campaign on youth unemployment – your videos, your slogans, your flyers! This is what our last campaigns camp was like, just imagine you could take part in our next one! Creative Campaigns Day 09. The day will provide an ideal opportunity for you to meet other young people involved in social change, share best practice and empower them with the skills to apply these creative campaigning techniques in there own causes. We very much look forward to hearing from you, Yours Sincerely, Noel Hatch National Chair Compass Youth www.alldoledup.org

SHOUT ABOUT BATTLEFRONT

Float your boat? Do you like the cut of Alice Humphreys's jib? Then do something about it. Voting, preferably, not a small dance. The 10 campaigns with the most votes end up before the wise and bewigged Battlefront judges, who’ll pick the lucky campaign to appear on the next Battlefront TV series.

So get behind the issues that matter most to you. You have until midday 30 March to cast your votes.

SHOUT ABOUT BATTLEFRONT

Everyone loves a nice badge. Especially badgers, for whom they are the primary source of income. Those furry little craftsmen have knocked up a particularly natty Battlefront one which you can stick on Bebo, MySpace, Facebook or your own website to show your support.

Just copy and paste the code below into your website – just like embedding a YouTube player – and then anyone who clicks it will be sent to the Battlefront site, and your page will look at least ninety times as snazzy.
